Do I need a prescription to order contact lenses?
Yes. A valid contact lens prescription from a licensed eye care professional is required to purchase contact lenses.
How do I upload my prescription?
You can upload your prescription on the product page before adding the item to your cart. We accept JPG, PNG, and PDF files.
Can I enter my prescription manually?
Yes. You can either upload your prescription or enter the prescription details directly on the product page.
What if my prescription has expired?
Expired prescriptions cannot be accepted. Please visit your eye care professional to obtain an updated prescription.
What happens if my prescription details do not match my order?
Our optometrist reviews prescription details before shipping. If there is any issue, we will contact you before processing your order.
Understanding Your Prescription
Can I use my eyeglass prescription to order contact lenses?
No. Eyeglass prescriptions and contact lens prescriptions are different. Contact lenses require additional measurements such as Base Curve (BC) and Diameter (DIA).
What do OD and OS mean?
OD: Right eye
OS: Left eye
What do SPH, CYL, and AXIS mean?
- SPH: Lens power for nearsightedness or farsightedness
- CYL: Correction for astigmatism
- AXIS: Position of astigmatism correction
What are BC and DIA?
- BC (Base Curve): The curve of the contact lens.
- DIA (Diameter): The width of the contact lens.
What happens if my prescription details do not match my order?

How long can I wear my contact lenses each day?
Most people wear contact lenses for 10–12 hours per day, or as recommended by their eye care professional.
Can I sleep while wearing my contact lenses?
Only if your lenses are specifically approved for overnight wear and your doctor has recommended it.
How should I clean reusable lenses?
Always consult your eye care provider. Use fresh contact lens solution every day. Never use tap water or saliva. Always store lenses in a clean case.
When should I replace my lenses?
Replace your lenses according to the schedule prescribed:
- Daily lenses: after one use
- Weekly lenses: every two weeks
- Monthly lenses: every month
What should I do if my eyes become irritated?
Remove your lenses immediately. If redness, pain, or irritation continues, contact your eye care professional.

How long does delivery take?
Standard shipping typically takes 5–7 business days after prescription verification. If there's any delay with your order, our customer service team will keep you informed
How can I track my order?
Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information.
Returns & Support
What is your return policy?
Unopened boxes in their original condition may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Opened boxes cannot be returned for safety reasons. To initiate a return, please contact us at support@contactlensdirect.com with your order number and we'll provide return instructions.
